Modelling for top analyses with Herwig7 / Cunnett, Betsy (University of Sussex (GB)) ; McFayden, Josh (University of Sussex (GB)) /ATLAS Collaboration
Uncertainties in the predictions of general-purpose Monte-Carlo event generators related to parton showering or hadronisation and other non-perturbative effects are a leading source of systematic uncertainty in many ATLAS analyses. These are often estimated using a two-point comparison of two generators that use different models; however, this approach is flawed and can lead to uncertainties that are poorly justified. [...]

A fully GPU-based track reconstruction pipeline for HEP experiments / Ribaric, Neza (Duke University (US)) ; ATLAS Collaboration /ATLAS Collaboration
The Event Filter (EF) Tracking system allows real-time, online tracking for the ATLAS trigger in the upcoming HL-LHC era. Although still under development, this note highlights the impressive performance achieved so far by integrating GPU accelerators into the tracking workflow. [...]

Deep Learning for Primary Vertex Identification in the ATLAS Experiment / Garg, Rocky Bala (Stanford University (US)) /ATLAS Collaboration
The exponential time scaling of traditional primary vertex reconstruction algorithms, such as the Adaptive Multi-Vertex Finder (AMVF), raises significant performance concerns for future high-pileup environments, particularly with the upcoming High Luminosity upgrade to the Large Hadron Collider. In this talk, we introduce PV-Finder, a deep learning-based approach that leverages reconstructed track parameters to directly predict primary vertex positions and track-to-vertex associations. [...]

Tau-lepton pair production via di-photon fusion in ultra-peripheral heavy-ion collisions at the ATLAS detector / Hallford, John Andrew (Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron (DE)) /ATLAS Collaboration
In ultra-relativistic heavy-ion collisions, high rates of $\gamma$-$\gamma$ processes occur through the interaction of the large electromagnetic fields of the heavy nuclei. For large impact parameters between the nuclei, i.e. [...]

Introduction of the forward Feature Extractor (fFEX) in the ATLAS first-level Trigger for the HL-LHC era / ATLAS Collaboration
With the addition of the forward Feature Extractor (fFEX) during the High-Luminosity LHC (HL-LHC) upgrade, ATLAS will gain a new powerful first-level calorimeter trigger (L0Calo) subsystem that significantly enhances the trigger performance in the Forward Calorimeter (FCal) region. Utilising the full calorimeter granularity, fFEX will extend L0Calo's electromagnetic (EM) and tau trigger capabilities to the forward region, and will improve the jet reconstruction. [...]

Observation of an enhancement near the top-antitop quark threshold by ATLAS / Behr, Janna Katharina (Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron (DE)) /ATLAS Collaboration
In this talk, a measurement of $t\bar{t}$ production in the invariant-mass region near the pair production threshold is presented. The measurement is conducted in final states with two charged leptons and multiple jets and is based on 140 fb$^{−1}$ of proton–proton collision data collected at $\sqrt{s} = 13$ TeV with the ATLAS detector. [...]

WbWb Cross Section in the Semi-leptonic Channel / Novak, Tadej (Jozef Stefan Institute (SI)) /ATLAS Collaboration
This presentation covers differential cross-section measurements of events consistent with the $W^{+}W^{-}b\bar{b}$ final state. The analysis is based on 140 fb$^{-1}$ of proton-proton collision data at $\sqrt{s}$ = 13 TeV recorded with the ATLAS detector during Run 2 of the Large Hadron Collider (2015-2018). [...]

Measurement of the top quark Yukawa coupling from $t\bar{t}$ differential cross-section / Sinha, Supriya (Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron (DE)) /ATLAS Collaboration
The top-quark Yukawa coupling is extracted from the distribution of the top-quark pair ($t \bar{t}$) invariant mass in proton-proton collisions using $140\,\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ of data at $\sqrt{s} = 13$ TeV collected in 2015-2018 by the ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider. In the region near the production threshold, the $t \overline{t}$ invariant mass spectrum is sensitive to electroweak virtual corrections, including contributions from Higgs boson exchange, thereby providing sensitivity to the top-quark Yukawa coupling. [...]
