Dijet events with large rapidity separation in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 2.76$ TeV with CMS detector / Egorov, Anatolii (St. Petersburg, INP) /CMS Collaboration The new search for Balitsky-Fadin-Kuraev-Lipatov (BFKL) evolution effects is performed at the Large Hadron Collider by the Compact Muon Solenoid experiment. The cross sections for inclusive and Mueller-Navelet dijet production are measured as a function of the rapidity separation between the jets in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 2.76\unit{TeV}$ for jets with transverse momentum $p_{\perp} > 35\unit{GeV}$ and rapidity $\vert y\vert < 4.7$. Upgraded CMS Fast Beam Condition Monitor for LHC Run 3 Online Luminosity and Beam Induced Background Measurements / Wanczyk, Joanna Malgorzata (CERN) /CMS Collaboration The fast Beam Condition Monitor (BCM1F) for the CMS experiment at the LHC was upgraded for precision luminosity measurement in the demanding conditions foreseen for LHC Run 3. BCM1F has been rebuilt with new silicon diodes, produced on the CMS Phase 2 Outer Tracker PS silicon wafers. [...] CMS-CR-2022-144.- Geneva : CERN, 2022 - p. Measurement of nonprompt and prompt $D^0$ azimuthal anisotropy in Pb-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{_{\mathrm{NN}}}} =$ 5.02 TeV / Stojanovic, Milan (Purdue U.) /CMS Collaboration Heavy quarks are primarily produced via initial hard scatterings, and thus carry information about the early stages of the Quark-Gluon Plasma (QGP). Measurements of the azimuthal anisotropy of the final-state heavy flavor hadrons provide information about the initial collision geometry, its fluctuation, and more importantly, the mass dependence of energy loss in QGP. Studies of heavy quark diffusion in QGP with nonprompt $D^0$ collectivity and jet-$D^0$ angular correlations in PbPb collisions / Stojanovic, Milan (Purdue U.) /CMS Collaboration Measurements of the correlations of the final-state heavy flavor hadrons are of great interest since they provide information about the initial collision geometry and its fluctuation. More importantly, those measurements could reveal the mass dependence of parton energy loss and quark diffusion in the Quark-Gluon Plasma (QGP). [...] CMS-CR-2022-140.- Geneva : CERN, 2022 - 7 p. Measurement of differential cross sections for the production of top quark pairs and of additional jets in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 13$ TeV / Petersen, Henriette Aarup (DESY) /CMS Collaboration Differential cross sections for top quark pair ($\textrm{t}\bar{\textrm{t}}$) production are measured in proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV using a sample of events containing two oppositely charged leptons. The data were recorded with the CMS detector at the LHC and correspond to an integrated luminosity of 138 $\textrm{fb}^{-1}$. [...] CMS-CR-2022-137.- Geneva : CERN, 2022 - 7 p. Higgs rare decays at ATLAS and CMS / Dordevic, Milos (VINCA Inst. Nucl. Sci., Belgrade) /ATLAS and CMS Collaborations More than a decade has passed since the start of the operation of the Large Hadron Collider at CERN and the discovery of the Higgs boson by the ATLAS and CMS Collaborations. The so far observed Higgs boson decay modes cover around 90$\%$ of the total Higgs boson width. [...] CMS-CR-2022-121.- Geneva : CERN, 2022 - 6 p. Measurement and QCD analysis of double-differential inclusive jet cross sections at 13 TeV / Makela, Toni (DESY) /CMS Collaboration A measurement of the inclusive jet production in proton-proton collisions at the LHC at $\sqrt{s}=13$~TeV is presented. The double-differential cross sections are measured as a function of the jet transverse momentum $p_\mathrm{T}$ and the absolute jet rapidity $\lvert y \rvert$. Measurement of $\text{t}\bar{\text{t}}$ and single top production cross sections in CMS / Muller, Denise (Vrije U., Brussels) /CMS Collaboration With a delivered luminosity of around 140 fb$^{-1}$ at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV in the CMS experiment during Run 2, almost 300 million top quarks and top antiquarks were produced. As top quarks can be produced through either strong or electroweak interaction, they are a suitable tool to probe the strong and electroweak sectors of the standard model. First measurement of the forward rapidity gap distribution in pPb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{_{\mathrm{NN}}}} = 8.16$~TeV with the CMS experiment / Sosnov, Dmitry (St. Petersburg, INP) /CMS Collaboration We present the forward rapidity gap spectra from proton-lead collisions for both pomeron-lead and pomeron-proton topologies. The analysis is performed over 10.4 units of pseudorapidity at a nucleon-nucleon center-of-mass energy of $8.16$~TeV, i.e. [...] CMS-CR-2022-114.- Geneva : CERN, 2022 - 5 p. Upgrade of the CMS Barrel Electromagnetic Calorimeter for the High Luminosity LHC / Cooke, Charlotte Ann (Rutherford) /CMS Collaboration The high luminosity upgrade of the LHC (HL-LHC) at CERN will provide unprecedented instantaneous and integrated luminosities of up to $7.5\times10^{34}$~cm$^{-2}$s$^{-1}$ and 4500~fb$^{-1}$, respectively, from 2029 onwards. To cope with the extreme conditions of up to 200 collisions per bunch crossing, and increased data rates, the on- and off-detector electronics of the CMS electromagnetic calorimeter (ECAL) will be replaced.
