2024 HLT timing and throughput results /CMS Collaboration
This note presents measurements of the computational performance of the HLT in 2024, in terms of timing (time per event), throughput (events processed per unit time), memory usage and power efficiency. Different configurations are compared, demonstrating the improvements brought by offloading part of the HLT reconstruction to GPUs..

FlashSim /CMS Collaboration
FlashSim is a Machine Learning based, end-to-end event simulation framework. It is being actively developed and optimized to meet the increasing demands of simulated samples, both now and in the near HL-LHC future. It is a fully agnostic, not analysis specific framework, trained on CMS, Geant4-based Full Simultation, going from (NANO)GEN to NANOAODSIM at O(100) Hz speed, with the aim to deliver a dataset in NANOAOD format at FastSim (or better) accuracy. The role of the RPCs in the CMS Level-1 Trigger during Phase-2 /CMS Collaboration
This document describes the main features of the Endcap Muon Track Finder algorithm, which is the Level 1 trigger algorithm in the endcaps. In the endcaps of the CMS experiment there are three subsystems: Cathode Strip Chambers , Gaseous Electron Multipliers, and Resistive Plate Chambers (RPCs). [...]

Performance of physics objects with low transverse momentum using ultraperipheral PbPb collisions at 5.36 TeV in 2023 /CMS Collaboration
Physics objects at low transverse momentum ($p_\mathrm{T}$) appear in several final states of interest in CMS analyses utilizing the ``photonic mode'' of LHC, i.e., as a result of photon-photon, photon-proton, or proton-nuclear interactions. The large interaction cross section of charged particles with the tracker material and the presence of the strong CMS magnetic field, however, lead to small reconstruction efficiency at low $p_\mathrm{T}$. Results of DT Longevity studies
The Drift Tube (DT) muon detector of CMS will face significant challenges as a result of the High Luminosity LHC (HL-LHC) program: it will need to function at 5 times the instantaneous luminosity that it was designed for and sustain roughly 10 times the initially expected integrated luminosity. In order to investigate the impact of these new conditions on the detector performance, a series of accelerated irradiation tests were carried out at the CERN Gamma Irradiation Facility. This note presents the results of longevity studies performed on one spare DT chamber after integrating approximately 50 mC/cm of charge (corresponding to 3 x HL-LHC integrated luminosity)..
