Search for a correlation between sequential decay times of B and D mesons in the decay chain B -> D -> X with the DELPHI detector (This work makes use of DELPHI data but is not a Collaboration paper)
In this note we present a search for a correlation between B and D mesons sequential decay times in the decay chain B → D → X. A deviation from the small correlation expected due to the mixed B and D composition and reconstruction uncertainties would be of importance as it might indicate that internal information governs these particles’ decay time. This study presents the design and optimization of the Beamstrahlung Beamline Vacuum Separation Window for the Future Circular Collider electron-positron collider (FCC-ee), focusing on mitigating the impact of high-energy γ-ray photons. The window is subjected to challenging operational conditions, including vacuum pressure from the beamline side and a 1.2 ATM overpressure in the beamstrahlung dump, while also being exposed to significant thermal loads due to high-energy γ-ray photon bombardment.
