Qu’est-ce que c’est ? L’assurance perte de salaire est une assurance nominative facultative, concernant uniquement les membres du personnel employés par le CERN, qui permet de compenser la réduction de salaire telle que prévue par les Statut et Règlement du Personnel du CERN en cas de maladie ou accident non professionnel. En effet, en application de l'article R II 4.13 des Statut et Règlement du personnel du CERN[1], en cas de congé maladie, le salaire est versé pleinement pendant les 12 premiers mois (365 jours civils), puis aux deux tiers durant 18 mois (548 jours civils), et n’est plus rémunéré au-delà de 30 mois d’absence. Beginnings and early years In 1956 (CERN/FC/1034/Rev.) the Finance Committee and the Council agreed that a sum of 15kCHF (or about 70kCHF in today’s prices) should be included in the annual budget of the Organization, to enable the Director-General (DG) to grant at their discretion assistance to members of the personnel in any cases of extraordinary and unforeseen financial hardship arising from any cause.
