We present a strategy to extend lattice calculations of inclusive hadronic $τ$ decays from isosymmetric QCD to QCD+QED. The inclusive decay rate can be related to suitable Euclidean correlation functions, allowing for a first-principles evaluation of electromagnetic and isospin-breaking effects. [...]

We discuss the extraction of heavy-light pseudo-scalar to light pseudo-scalar decay form factors from finite time correlation functions. We place particular emphasis on the contamination from excited states employing summed ratios and input from chiral perturbation theory. [...]

Resonant Landau-Zener conversion in multi-axion systems

Multiple axions may emerge in the low-energy effective theory of Nature. Generically, the potentials describing these axion fields are non-diagonal, leading to mass mixing between axion states which can be temperature-dependent due to QCD instanton effects. [...]

Deforming and dissecting AdS$_3$ with matter
/ Callebaut, Nele (Cologne U.) ; Hergueta, Blanca (Cologne U.) ; Monten, Ruben (CERN) ; Selle, Matteo (Cologne U.)
We study deformations of the model by Henneaux, Martínez, Troncoso and Zanelli [arXiv:hep-th/0201170] which features asymptotically AdS$_3$ black hole solutions that incorporate the exact backreaction of a scalar field. The presence of bulk matter causes the $T \overline T$ deformation of the (putative) dual CFT$_2$ to differ from the deformation defined in the bulk by imposing Dirichlet boundary conditions at finite radius. The heavy quark-antiquark asymmetry in the variable flavor number scheme

The twist-2 heavy-quark and antiquark distributions, as defined in the variable flavor number scheme, turn out to be different due to QCD corrections from three-loop onward. This is caused by terms containing the color factor $d_{abc} d^{abc}$ in the heavy-flavor massive pure-singlet operator matrix elements (OMEs) $A^{\rm PS, s, (3)}_{Qq}$ for odd moments in the unpolarized case and for $ΔA^{\rm PS, s, (3)}_{Qq}$ for even moments in the polarized case. Jet Production at NNLO: Exploring a New Scheme

We consider dijet production in $e^+e^-$ collisions and in $H\to b{\bar b}$ decays at next-to-next-to-leading order (NNLO) in perturbative QCD. A new non-local subtraction scheme is applied, for the first time, to obtain the fully differential cross section for these benchmark processes. [...]

Three-loop corrections to $gg\to ZH$ in the large top quark mass limit
/ Davies, Joshua (U. Liverpool (main)) ; Grau, Dominik (KIT, Karlsruhe) ; Schönwald, Kay (Zurich U.) ; Steinhauser, Matthias (KIT, Karlsruhe) ; Stremmer, Daniel (KIT, Karlsruhe)
We compute three-loop virtual corrections to the associated production of a Higgs boson with a $Z$ boson in the large-$m_t$ limit. We describe in detail the application of the asymptotic expansion and provide, for all form factors, analytic results for the first three terms in the $1/m_t$ expansion. [...]

Magnusian : relating the eikonal phase, the on-shell action, and the scattering generator

Two fundamentally distinct types of quantities are both called "eikonal" in present amplitudes literature. The unitarity of the S-matrix ensures it can be written as the exponential of a Hermitian operator. [...]
