Events at the Globe

CERN is organising a series of lectures based on the exhibition

'A des années-lumière'

Thursday 12 October, 8.00 p.m. (in French)
From physics to medical imaging
Paul Lecoq, a CERN physicist, and Professor Olivier Mundler from the Timone Hospital (Marseille)

The technologies developed at CERN are widely used in fields other than particle physics. Medicine, and medical imaging in particular, has directly benefited from the work done on particle detectors. Come and meet a doctor and a physicist and learn about one of the practical applications of fundamental research.

This lecture is part of the 'Fête de la Science' programme.

Lectures for the general public. By reservation only: +41 (0)22 767 76 76
