Goodbye, dear friend, thank you for everything
It is with great emotion and an intense sadness that we inform you that Philippe Defert, Vice-President of the Staff Association, passed away on Wednesday 11th of September following a struggle with a severe illness. Ever since Philippe joined CERN in 1987 he has been an active member of the Staff Association and a staff delegate since 1992. He will be sadly missed.
