TICKETS ARE NOW AVAILABLE!

Replay of the Rudra-Béjart Ballet for the CERN Staff
on Tuesday 5 December 2000
at 8.00 pm sharp
at the Geneva ARENA

This private performance will be given for you. It will last longer than the original performance at CERN: 1 hour 20 instead of 35 minutes. I encourage you all to attend this performance-bring in great numbers yourselves, members of your family, and your friends.
2,020 places are available, for which tickets will be obtained from Monday 27 November at the Staff Association Secretariat, whom I sincerely thank for having kindly accepted to distribute the tickets.
To regulate the distribution, a contribution of 5 francs will be asked for each ticket: this sum is symbolic, as I intend this ballet-representation foremost as a recognition by CERN of its gratitude to you.

     Dancing,

           singing,

                 rhythm

                       and kendo

form the basis of the new ballet performance by the Rudra-Béjart School of Lausanne.
In a show specially created for CERN by Maurice Béjart and his team, 25 female and 22 male dancers radiating youth and vivacity will perform on the big white stage of Geneva's new dance theatre at the ARENA.
Maurice Béjart's repertoire, including The Rite of Spring , AREPO , Don Giovanni and La Muette will be presented in the form of shows and sketches. The humour of Mozart will be illustrated in song, the primordial rhythm of the 47 percussionists will set our spirits dancing and the ritual of kendo will remind us of the concentration and precision at the heart of all art forms.
Bringing together 17 nationalities in the love of dance, Rudra generates an immense energy that inspires confidence in the future generation .
