Measurement of charmonium production in Pb-Pb and p-Pb collisions at the LHC with ALICE / Neagu, Alexandra (Oslo U.) /ALICE Collaboration
Among the many possible probes to study the quark–gluon plasma (QGP), a high energy-density medium formed in relativistic heavy-ion collisions, heavy quarks are particularly interesting as they are expected to be produced in the initial stages of the collisions, by hard partonic scatterings, and to experience the full evolution of the medium. In particular, charmonia (bound $c\bar{c}$ states) production have been measured in nucleus-nucleus collisions with high precision at the LHC leading to the observation of new signatures of deconfinement (QGP) such as the regeneration of $c\bar{c}$ pairs into charmonium states. Jet substructure measurements in heavy-ion collisions with ALICE / Mulligan, James (Ahmedabad, Phys. Res. Lab ; Indian Inst. Tech., Gandhinagar)
Jet substructure, defined by observables constructed from the distribution of constituents within a jet, provides the versatility to tailor observables to specific regions of QCD radiation phase space. [...]

Measurements of inclusive photons at forward rapidities in p-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s\rm_{NN}}$ = 5.02 TeV with ALICE / Modak, Abhi (Lund U.)
We present multiplicity and pseudorapidity distributions of inclusive photons at forward rapidity in proton-lead (p-Pb) collisions at $\sqrt{s\rm_{NN}}$ = 5.02 TeV using the data obtained from Photon Multiplicity Detector (PMD) of ALICE. [...]

Charm and multi-charm baryon measurements via strangeness tracking with the upgraded ALICE detector / Chinellato, David Dobrigkeit
We present a new method for detection of multiply charmed baryons via their decays into strange baryons, using `strangeness tracking'. [...]

Heavy-flavour hadron production / Faggin, Mattia (INFN, Padua ; Padua U.)
The conventional description of heavy-flavour hadron production in pp collisions is based on a factorisation approach, assuming universal fragmentation functions among collision systems. [...]

Jet substructure and correlations in hadronic final states from ALICE / Mulligan, James
Jets of high energy collimated particles provide a rich phenomenology to study quantum chromodynamics, from first-principles tests of perturbative calculations to investigations of the emergent properties of the strongly-coupled quark-gluon plasma. [...]

Event plane determination with the new ALICE FIT detector / Rytkönen, Heidi Maria (Jyvaskyla U.) /ALICE Collaboration
During the on-going second long shutdown of LHC, the forward detectors of the ALICE experiment are implementing an extensive upgrade. In particular, a new Fast Interaction Trigger (FIT) has been designed and built. [...]

Reconstruction in ALICE and calibration of TPC space-charge distortions in Run 3 / Hellbär, Ernst (Darmstadt, GSI) /ALICE Collaboration
The ALICE experiment will run with continuous readout at interaction rates of up to 50 kHz in Pb-Pb collisions during Run 3 of the LHC. In order to achieve this goal, a new data processing scheme and software are developed. [...]
