Expanding Physics Reach with Unused Tracks in LHCb / Sanderswood, Izaac (Univ. of Valencia and CSIC (ES)) The physics reach of the LHCb detector can be extended by reconstructing particles with a long lifetime that decay in the magnet region, using only tracks from downstream of the dipole magnet. This allows for electromagnetic dipole moment measurements, and increases the reach of undiscovered long-lived particle searches. Charmless $b$-hadron decays at LHCb / Nasteva, Irina (Federal University of of Rio de Janeiro (BR)) /LHCb Collaboration Measurements of $C\!P$ asymmetries in charmless two-body $B$-meson decays can provide stringent tests of the Standard Model. In multibody decays, short and long-distance dynamics along with a sizeable effective weak phase in the interference between tree and penguin amplitudes can lead to a rich structure of $C\!P$ violation as a function of the phase space. LHCb results in charm baryons / Xu, Jingyi (University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CN)) The LHCb experiment collected the world’s largest sample of charmed hadrons during LHC Run 1 and Run 2. With this data set, LHCb is currently providing the world’s most precise measurements of properties and production of known charmed baryons, as well as discovering many previously unobserved states. Recent LHCb results on heavy hadron spectroscopy / Fang, Bo (Université Paris-Saclay (FR)) Recent results on heavy hadron spectroscopy from the LHCb experiment are briefly introduced in these proceedings. These results contain the observation of a new excited $D^+_s$ meson in $B^0 → D^− D^+K^+ \pi^−$ decays, evidence of a new $J/\psi \Lambda$ structure in $\Xi^-_b → J/\psi \Lambda K^−$ decays, and the observation of four new resonances decaying to $J/\psi K^+$ or $J/\psi \phi$ in $B^+ → J/\psi \phi K^+$ decays.. Heavy flavour production in $pp$ collisions at LHCb / Xu, Li (Tsinghua University (CN)) These proceedings summarise the recent heavy flavour production measurements in proton-proton ($pp$) collisions at the LHCb experiment. The production cross-sections of $J/\psi$ mesons are measured at a centre-of-mass energy of $\sqrt{s}=5$ TeV. [...] LHCb-PROC-2022-015; CERN-LHCb-PROC-2022-015.- Geneva : CERN, 2022 - 5. Quarkonia production in ultraperipheral PbPb collisions at LHCb / Duan, Weisong (South China Normal University (CN)) Two analyses are reported in this contribution. The cross-section of coherent $J/\psi$ and $\psi(2S)$ in ultra-peripheral PbPb collisions is measured as a function of rapidity $y^*$ and $p_{\mathrm{T}}^*$, where the asterisk indicates that the variables are defined in the nucleus-nucleus center-of-mass frame. Standalone track reconstruction and matching algorithms for GPU-based High level trigger at LHCb / Jashal, Brij Kishor (Instituto de Fisica Corpuscular (IFIC), Valencia) The LHCb Upgrade in Run 3 has changed its trigger scheme for a full software selection in two steps. The first step, HLT1, will be entirely implemented on GPUs and run a fast selection aiming at reducing the visible collision rate from 30 MHz to 1 MHz. Fast and flexible data structures for the LHCb Run 3 software trigger / Esen, Sevda (University of Zurich (CH)) ; Hennequin, Arthur Marius (Massachusetts Inst. of Technology (US)) ; De Cian, Michel (EPFL - Ecole Polytechnique Federale Lausanne (CH)) Starting this year, the upgraded LHCb detector will collect data with a pure software trigger. In its first stage, reducing the rate from 30MHz to about 1MHz, GPUs are used to reconstruct and trigger on B and D meson topologies and high-pT objects in the event. Tracking on GPU at LHCb’s fully software trigger / Scarabotto, Alessandro (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (FR)) The LHCb experiment will use a fully software-based trigger to collect data from 2022 on, at an event rate of 30 MHz. During the first stage of the High-Level Trigger (HLT1), a partial track reconstruction, using efficient parallelisation techniques on GPU cards, is performed. Allen in the first days of Run 3 / Boettcher, Thomas (University of Cincinnati (US)) The LHCb collaboration recently began commissioning an upgraded detector that will be read out at the full 30 MHz LHC event rate. Events will be reconstructed and selected in real time using a GPU-based software trigger called Allen. [...] LHCb-PROC-2022-010; CERN-LHCb-PROC-2022-010.- Geneva : CERN, 2022 - mult.p.
