CERN Golf Club Celebrates 30 years

On the 29th of June, the CERN Golf Club celebrated its 30th anniversary with a special event, at the prestigious Maison Blanche Golf Club at Echenevex.

An 18-hole stableford competition was held, followed by dinner in the evening, where we were fortunate to have beautiful warm weather and we celebrated late into the night.

Many of the present club members were joined by some of the original founding enthusiasts. They shared a splendid afternoon and evening together, discussing memories of hundreds of CERN Golf Club events, held together, over the preceding 30 years.

Similar to many of the CERN clubs, we have gone through some ups and downs in memberships over the past few years, however, we feel that now we have turned the corner and with a current membership of 65, the participation in our local outings and competitions is very good. 

The committee continues to strive to develop our activities and to stay an attractive alternative/complement to the many local golf courses with a rich list of outings to a variety of courses in easy reach of CERN.
