New measurements of inclusive jet suppression and jet ν2 in Pb–Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 5.02 TeV with ALICE / Grünwald, Nadine Alice (Heidelberg U.) /ALICE Collaboration
We report measurements of the inclusive charged-particle jet yield in central Pb–Pb collisions at √SNN = 5.02 TeV. Uncorrelated background is suppressed by a novel mixed-event technique, enabling extension of the jet RAA measurement down to pT = 13.5 GeV/c, with kinematic overlap with RHIC jet measurements. [...]

Assessing the QGP speed of sound in ultra-central heavy-ion collisions with ALICE / Rueda, Omar Vazquez (Houston U. ; Valencia U., IFIC) /ALICE Collaboration
Ultrarelativistic heavy-ion collisions produce a state of hot, dense, strongly interacting QCD matter known as quark-gluon plasma (QGP). On an event-by-event basis, the volume of the QGP in ultra-central collisions is mostly constant, while its total entropy can vary significantly, leading to variations in the temperature of the system. ALICE Highlights / Arsene, Ionut Cristian (Oslo U.) /ALICE Collaboration
A summary including highlights of recent ALICE results, the status of the data taking in LHC Run 3 and of the ALICE detector upgrades is shown. The physics results are obtained mainly using the data recorded in pp, p–Pb and Pb–Pb during the LHC Run 2, but a set of results obtained in pp collisions with the Run 3 data is also discussed..

ALICE Forward Calorimeter (FoCal): Physics program and performance / Jonas, Florian (LBL, Berkeley ; UC, Berkeley) /ALICE Collaboration
This contribution outlines the physics program and performance of the Forward Calorimeter (FoCal), which is a planned new detector subsystem for the ALICE experiment in Run 4. The forward pseudorapidity coverage of 3.2 < η < 5.8 allows to study the gluon density in hadronic matter down to x ∼ 10−6 and enables the search for gluon saturation at the LHC..

Measurements of (anti)(hyper)nuclei with ALICE / Vorobyev, Ivan (CERN) /ALICE Collaboration
The investigation of the production mechanism of light (anti)(hyper)nuclei in ultrarelativistic hadronic collisions is one of the main topics in modern nuclear physics. The ALICE Collaboration has significantly contributed to this specific field of research with systematic measurements of the production of (anti)(hyper)nuclei in different collision systems and centre-ofmass energies provided by the Large Hadron Collider. Novel silicon detectors in ALICE at the LHC: The ITS3 and ALICE 3 upgrades / Sanna, Isabella (CERN ; Munich, Tech. U.) /ALICE Collaboration
The ALICE experiment is preparing for the ITS3 upgrade, which is set to take place during the LHC Long Shutdown 3. The aim of this upgrade is to replace the three innermost tracking layers with truly cylindrical wafer-scale Monolithic Active Pixel Sensors (MAPS). [...]

Shedding light on light-flavour-particle production in small systems at the LHC with ALICE / Ercolessi, Francesca (INFN, Bologna) /ALICE Collaboration
The measurement of light-flavour-particle production in small collision systems at the LHC has shown features that resemble phenomena seen in heavy-ion collisions. The historical signatures of the quark–gluon plasma (QGP) formation, such as collective flow and the enhanced production of strange hadrons, were also observed in high-multiplicity proton–proton (pp) and proton–lead (p–Pb) collisions. Probing parton propagation in heavy-ion collisions with ALICE heavy-flavour measurements / Singh, Ravindra (Darmstadt, GSI) /ALICE Collaboration
Heavy quarks (charm and beauty) are valuable probes for investigating the properties of the quark–gluon plasma (QGP) formed in ultra-relativistic heavy-ion collisions, as they are mainly produced through hard-scattering processes prior to the formation of the QGP, and their number is conserved during the subsequent QGP evolution. Measurements of the nuclear modification factor RAA of charm and beauty hadrons allow us to characterise the in-medium energy loss of heavy quarks while traversing the QGP. [...]

Vector meson polarisation in heavy-ion collisions at the LHC / Micheletti, Luca (CERN) /ALICE Collaboration
Heavy quarks, i.e. charm and beauty, are produced in the initial stage of heavy-ion collisions, on a time scale shorter than the medium formation time, and are sensitive to the large initial magnetic field produced perpendicular to the reaction plane, defined by the impact parameter direction and beam direction, in non-central heavy-ion collisions. Exploring the internal structure of exotic resonances with ALICE / Padhan, Sonali (Indian Inst. Tech., Mumbai) /ALICE Collaboration
The investigation of the quark content of hadrons has been a major goal of nonperturbative strong interaction physics. In the last decade, several resonances in the mass range 1000-2000 MeV/c2 have emerged that cannot be explained by the quark model. [...]
