Run 3 Performance of new hardware in ALICE / Liu, Jian (Liverpool U.) /ALICE Collaboration
ALICE (A Large Ion Collider Experiment), an experiment optimized for the study of heavy-ion physics at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), has delivered a wealth of important physics results during Runs 1 and 2 of the LHC. In order to profit from LHC luminosity increases and advancements in detector technology, the ALICE experiment underwent a major upgrade during LHC Long Shutdown 2 (2019–2022). [...]

Understanding the rescattering effect on $\Lambda$(1520) resonance production in different systems and collision energies with ALICE at LHC / Padhan, Sonali (Indian Inst. Tech., Mumbai) /ALICE Collaboration
Hadronic resonances are effective tools for studying the hadronic phase in ultrarelativistic heavy-ion collisions. In fact, their lifetime is comparable to that of the hadronic phase, therefore resonances are sensitive to effects such as rescattering and regeneration processes, which affect their yields and the shape of the transverse momentum spectra. Event-by-event fluctuations of mean transverse momentum in Pb-Pb and Xe-Xe collisions with ALICE / Tripathy, Tulika (Indian Inst. Tech., Mumbai) /ALICE Collaboration
The article presents studies of event-by-event fluctuations in the mean transverse momentum, ⟨𝑝T⟩,of charged particles in Pb–Pb and Xe–Xe collisions at √𝑠NN = 5.02 TeV and √𝑠NN = 5.44 TeV,respectively, with the ALICE detector at the LHC. Significant dynamical fluctuations, indicativeof correlated particle emission, are observed in both collision systems [...]

Validation of the 65 nm TPSCo CMOS imaging technology for the ALICE ITS3 / Ferrero, C (Polytech. Turin ; INFN, Turin) /ALICE Collaboration
During the next Long Shutdown (LS3) of the LHC, planned for 2026, the innermost three layers of the ALICE Inner Tracking System will be replaced by a new vertex detector composed of curved ultra-thin monolithic silicon sensors. The R&D; initiative on monolithic sensors of the CERN Experimental Physics Department, in cooperation with the ALICE ITS3 upgrade project, prepared the first submission of chip designs in the TPSCo 65 nm technology, called MLR1 (Multi Layer Reticle). Operation and Performance of the Upgraded ALICE Inner Tracking System / Triolo, Andrea Sofia (CERN) /ALICE Collaboration
The ALICE Experiment underwent a major upgrade during the Long Shutdown 2 of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), which included the installation of a new Inner Tracking System (ITS2).The ITS2, consisting of a 7-layer, pixel-only tracker with 24,000 Monolithic Active Pixel Sensors(MAPS) and 12.5 billion pixels, represents the largest scale application of the MAPS technology in a high-energy physics experiment to date. It has been successfully commissioned for the LHC Run 3, started in July 2022 with proton–proton collisions at a center of mass energy of 13.6 TeV. [...]
